Quick 0.0 Overview With more of us heading out to 0.0, and many of us being quite noobish to living out there, I thought it would be prudent to point out some major survivability tips.
Tips 1) Watch Local -if you can't tell who all is in a system without needing to scroll, you should move to a system with fewer people in it. -anything not blue is the enemy, if someone shows up, safe up and cloak, or warp to a friendly POS, or if it's feasible get to a station and dock up. (or if you feel like pewpewing, join a defense gang) 2) Watch the Intel channels -Keeping an eye on them you will be able to track enemy movements. Once they get close to where you are, get to a safe place and wait them out! (or if you feel like pewpewing, join a defense gang) -Just because nothing has been posted, doesn't mean a system is clear, ask for intel before heading out. If no one answers, don't assume it's clear 3) MWD is your friend 4) Be paranoid, someone IS out to kill you.
0.0 is different than empire in a lot of ways 1) There are no station guns at player outposts or gates 2) There is no GCC (Global Criminal Countdown) for engaging someone, but you do get an aggression counter (which keeps you from jumping through a gate or docking at a station for about a minute) 3) You do not get aggression for taking loot from someone's can or salvaging it. Still be polite and ask though. 4) Bubbles are DANGEROUS! You cannot warp if you are in one, even if you have nothing but Warp Core Stabilizers fitted.
